Volvo S40 D5 2009 model "immobilizer" when driving
S40 D5 2009 model "immobilizer" when driving:
For the first time my 2009 S40 D5 went into an "Immobilizer" stall as I went through a bumpy roundabout. It did it again last week when I went over a speed bump slightly faster than usual. The dashboard lights went on (also the small engine light). No hazard lights were available. I turned the key, but it only cranked and did not start. It seemed like the immobilizer was preventing the car from starting. All I could do was to switch off the car; pull out the key; wait 2 minutes and everything was back to normal. The car started and drove perfectly.
A few weeks ago I noticed on 2 separate occasions that my car alarm had gone off. The display inside said: "Alarm triggered - please attend."
I took it to my local dealership. They did a diagnostic test; reloaded the software and did not find anything wrong.
Can anyone help please?

FWIW, if the immobilizer is triggered, you should get the green "key" light on the dash (easy to miss that one since it's such a happy color). ;-) When it's been triggered, it shuts off your fuel pump.
OTOH, if your emergency flashers won't work it's likely that you have a gross electrical problem (I believe that there's not much between the battery and the emergency flasher switch, but could be wrong - Volvo has been known to over-engineer things, after all). ;-)
