Volvo s40 turbo questions

Hi is the volvo 2008 turbo t5 have the same block as the non turbo can i use a nonturbo block and put the turbo head and make it work?

The pistons are going to be different - turbos have a lower compression ratio. The non turbo block may not have a hole in it for the turbo oil return line - or it may be covered with a plug.
