I don't have the owners handbook with me at the moment so could someone please do me a quick favour and tell me what an amber picture of the car with a big "X" though it on the right hand side of the instrument panel means. Is it traction control?

This is on a 2004 (old shape) Volvo S40. I think the 2005-onwards S40 has a completely different panel and I couldn't find an online manual anywhere for the previous model.

means immobilizer is on.....if your car is still running, it's just an error.
for your maual online go to Volvo cars website and go to owners library to find the manual
