Hello,..I have an '01 Volvo C70 convertible in which I love, but I'm not too comfortable with it yet (knowing the ins and outs of it) after owning it for a few months thus far. I noticed this morning when starting it up the Light Faulty Warning indicator lamp came on. I put her in park and turned on the lights and walked around the car and all indications were that the lights were all operating fine....(Not sure about backups or brakes because I was alone)

Anyone else have that warning come in under false pretense? Fuse?

Does the light come on when you brake, then disappears when you lift the pedal? If so, it's telling you one of the brake bulbs is out.

 

it stays on the whole time the car is running...

 

Make sure all the tailight bulbs are lit.
i believe there should be 2 per side.

 

OK,..now the warning light went off after driving about 20 minutes later today. I'll see if it reappears tomorrow AM again. I hope this doesn't mean that there is a short someplace. Those are impossible to trace. I don't need this at all. Crazy!!!

 

I have the same problem come up from time to time. And it never happened before. It only started after they did the factory recall/replacement of the light switch. So im wondering if the clip wasn't plugged in fully.
