I just got a 2003 S40 1.9T. I just wondering what kinds of gas you guys I use, what number 87,91,93?

 

Well all Volvo's should use PREMIUM gas. More so the turboed models. You can run REGULAR and your car will run fine. I recently put a tank of PREMIUM in my 1999 s70 awd and I will tell you my car runs a lot smoother now. I was running REGULAR before this tank of PREMIUM.

Actually, my research has told me that the S40 01-04 are programmed to run on any grade fuel. Recommendation for High Performance engines of coarse is improved with better octane. If you were to reprogram the epromm you would of coarse be forced to run premium 94 or better.

 

use premium 93 octane....your car deserves it.

 

I use only premium.

 

I normally use premium, but since the gas went up so high, I used the one in the middle(I think it is called plus), but I went back to premium.
