Default All kinds of Beautiful White Smoke

So My 99 XC70 Started Blowing steam out of the engine about a mile from home! It just got into the red when I pulled into my driveway! Now it Pours out this beautiful whit smoke From the tail pipe when I start it! Also the Engine oil has turned in to this lovely really runny lighter shade I think I must have a bad Engine mount

What do you think? Can it be Fixed?

No Seriously though Do you think the head may be warped? I know the HG is blown. It was only in the red for a sec. However it did sit there with the fan on for a while.

Anyone have instructions on Head Removal? Bolt pattern Removal ETC?
Any help would be Much appreciated.

Yes I will bet the head is warped. Usually the head is what warps and causes the issue. The headgasket itself usually does not blow the head warps. But unless it has been done a couple of times already you should be able to have it shaved and reinstall it and go.

I think there might be a few posts about doing the job.

To remove the headbolts start in the center and work your way out.
When you are ready or this weekend I will post the rest for installing it.

I Did it from Out to In. Thats how I read to do it before you posted. It says to do in to out to put it back on. HG is deffinatly blown Water win Cyl 234 Mostly 3. I need to get a straight Edge to Check the head to see if its warped. Will a Long Steel Speed Square work?

That should work fine. I will bet it is warped.

Isnt there danger of cracking or breaking a Cam if I get it shaved? sure it makes the bottom flat but itf the head is warped wont the rest of the head still be warped?

Were they straight before having them machined?
I can believe the 4 cylinder one. But the 5 cylinder I have not seen one straight as of yet.
But then maybe I have now.
