its near where you fill the car with gas, up underneath the left rear fender. it is connected to the leak detection pump, ( i dont know for sure if the leak detection pump is meant to detect leaks in the fuel system or the vacuum system, but i believe its for the fuel system.) i had a huge vacuum leak that took a third of my fuel mileage, and it turned out that the leak detection pump was broken, so i had that replaced for about $350. it was fine for about a week, and then the mileage dropped by a third again, so i took it back to the shop and they hooked a smoke machine up to it (to the vacuum system as far as i know), and they said the only place that smoke leaked was from the leak detection filter, and that sometimes this fliter gets its flap stuck open. so rather than pay them more money, i am going to change it myself if i can find the part (and depending on the price of the part) i cant find the part anywhere, or even a mention of the part when i google search it.
