Wierd Steering
Having a really wierd problem with my 04 S40 LSE. At low speeds (under 10MPH) the steering wheel turns itself left and right a quarter turn each direction on it's own! No hands on the wheel....It scares the crap out of me, but at highway speeds the problem all but goes away.
Some people say it could be the speed sensitive steering? I've had a bunch of people tell me it could be different things.....like tires, struts, ball joints,CV Joints, bad bearings in the steering column. Car has 70,000 miles and good tires.
Any help would be great...i don't like bringing cars to mechanics if i don't have some idea as to what the problem is.
