I have a 2001 S60 2.4t that has about 112,000 miles on it. For some reason, my steering has become very difficult and also makes a squeaking sound when I turn the wheel (both right and left turns).
One repair shop told me I had a rusted out u-joint, but I question that particular shops knowledge of Volvo's. They did lubricate the joint which helped temporarily, but went back to being difficult about a month later. I just bought this car about 8 months ago... Any idea what it could be, and if this is potentially dangerous?
