So i have a new friend who just got into town. She drives an S-60 and drove cross country to get to a small town in colorado, she says that she had the car checked out right before she left for a long distance road trip. Right after she gets into town, her car dies. I've done some basic car maintnance and my dad has taught me enough to get around, so i tell her ill help her out. The car is turning over, and i heard it barely catch once in the 10 times we tried to get it to start. the check engine light is on but when i plug in a code reader it says no codes found, also she says the dashboard hasnt been working, but when i tried the car all the lights and info popped i[. i found a thread saying that it may be the battery; tried jumping the car to no avail. At this point im thinking that it must be a fuel issue and she should have the fuel pump and filter looked at, but before i have her spend money; are there any other things i should look at or anything that i might be missing? i deffer to the knowledge of the cloud. any help would be much appreciated
