'02 s60 2.4t *not starting*
Hey everyone,
I have an '02 s60 2.4t, went to go to work this morning, car wouldn't start. I tried to boost it from another car later in the day, no change. Tonight, I tried to start it again, and took note:
Key in ignition II, dash lights cycle through, radio/climate lights on, fuel pump cycles, engine and oil light remain on.
I try to start the car: there is no sound, no crank, radio/climate lights go out, engine and oil lights remain on.
message reads: engine start prevented
Seatbelt light flash and chime sound when key returned to ignition II, engine and oil lights still on.
does anyone have any experience or information!?!?!?!!??!
Thanks,

Key was broken
To close this topic off, here is what happened..
I had broke the key the night before in the outside door lock because it was frozen and I couldn't unlock my door.. the next morning going to work I had the key in pliers and the car wouldn't start. I read that the key has a chip in the rubber grip that allows the car to start. So I tried my spare key and it started no issues. I then tried the broken key again reinserted into the grip part and it also worked.
thanks for the reply.
