I recently purchased a 2002 S60 T5, and had an unfortunate discovery this morning. We have had heavy rains the last few days, and I discovered standing water in the passenger floorboard!

I have already identified the cause (sunroof drains) and fixed it, but what I need help with is the water clean up. I know I need to pull the carpets, which I have already done in the passenger front foot-well. I also have learned the way the metal floorpans are shaped means that water in the front foot-well means water in the rear foot-well. This is where my question comes in.

Pulling the rear carpet means unbolting and lifting the passenger seat a little bit. But I still can't pull the carpet loose because of this black triangular box



Any guidance on what this is? My car does not have factory Nav, but it does have the top of the line sound system.

 

It's the Audio Module. Basically an amp.
