Good morning, I added the printout from the scan to see if just changing the cluster will fix the issues and/or if I send the cluster out for repair. I have called a few repair websites and they say the repair is for power issues. The cluster never loses power, blink or malfunction except for not being able to reset.

Thanks again to all with the assistance. Hate to pass up on car as it is clean and runs well.

Good afternoon all! Looking at a single owner '03 S60 for my daughter's first car. I have an '05 XC70 with 186,000 and love the car.

The S60 has the above message and when read by Volvo on Vidas threw off codes DIM-003,004,005 and will stay reset until started again. They said car needs new DIM- instrument cluster. Car has 143,000m on it and runs great minus the SRS issue. Spent weekend researching and mixed results.

The dealer will sell the car at $2600.00 as is Any ideas?

you could install a used one pretty cheap (mileage will not match) or have your DIM repaired

You need a new DIM or to have yours repaired.

 

Thanks for the reply, all the repair shops say that it is not the common problem of intermittent power issue. The cluster stays lit at all times. Can you suggest a repair shop that can correct this. I would appreciate all info that you have pertaining to this.

The problem is a fault in the circuit for the SRS lamp. If their rebuild cannot fix that, it needs a new cluster or you can send a used cluster to them along with this one to transfer the programming
