'04 R model with plain struts!
I liked the '04 I bought a few months ago, so I decided to buy an R model too.
I flew to Philadelphia Thursday and drove 1530 miles home to Texas with an '04 R
67 average MPH
26.6 average MPG
Car seems solid, but it does have a few issues.
First off, it has non R Unity brand struts on the front.
It rode badly over harsh bumps, bottoming out with a loud bang.
There was a wire hanging down on the d/s with a little rectangle "box" thing on the end. It's zip tied to the strut on the p/s.
Just now reading through and sorting the strut info.
Looks like I'll need some R springs to go with the pile of parts I'm shopping for. I assume the R's have a different spring than the non R models?
R experts chime in!!!

K, so the dangly thing was the accelerometer. Not sure if it's damaged. It is beat up.
The strut wires were tied up with a taped "thing" on each end. I'm not ready to open that up just yet.
Still looking for for some stock springs.
