Default 06 S60 with intermittent starting issues

Wife's car has 95k. (AWD Turbo) Problem I'm having is that sometimes it simply doesn't start. It has full power (lights, radio, etc) but turn the key and nothing. NO clicking, NO cranking...nada. (idiot lights go on as normal)

Towed it to the shop and of course, it started right up every time for them.

Not 100% sure, but seems to quit when warm (stop at 7/11 to get coffee and no start). Mornings not an issue. Mechanic is stumped.

Starter related? Ignition related? ?

Suggestions??? (btw, I did search but could find nothing with exact symptoms.)

Looks like some solder inside a computer module cracks open when the car gets warmed up. Could be the main computer inside the engine bay (check if you hear a small fan inside the computer box going off with the engine warmed up). There is also some electronic module behind the drivers side dash that is prone to such issues.

Thanks. Will check this but it seems to be related to the kill function of the alarm. I drove it all day and never used the key fob to set the lock and the car started every time without issue. She drove it and by habit, used the fob, and now it's stranded again.

Someone suggested replacing the security ring around ignition? And/or removed battery cables and touch them to reset things.

Still chasing this problem.

Seems whenever the car is locked from the outside (either with fob or manually with Valet key) it triggers the kill function of the alarm (so, full power but no crank). Normally, the car resets itself after 24 hours and I get in and start it up (which is why the mechanic could not replicate the problem).

But this time it is not resetting. Any ideas would be appreciated. Car is basically stranded at the moment.
