Default '16 V60CC losing bluetooth connection with phone

I've had an occasional problem since I got my car new in '16 with the bluetooth connections occasionally losing contact with my phone. It has been getting worse & is now really sketchy. I get the message "Temporary communications error. Please try again." A few years ago the dealer checked & said my car had the newest version of firmware.
Can I reboot it myself?
Is there a new version & do I have to have a dealer update it? I'm 5 hours from the nearest dealer, but do have a great Volvo repair place nearby.

Not sure about your car but on some models the bluetooth box is located under one of the front seats - if that's the case, it may have a look connection (lol after being kicked)
