Default High fuel consumption

My S60 2011 2l has been giving me issues . The first one resulted in me replacing both fuel pumps but the check engine light is still on . When I start my car in the morning there is a blowing sound similar to that of a blowing exhaust pipe , the check engine light flashes on and off , then remains on . My car won't drive past 3 on the Rev counter and has very slow pick up speed which wasn't the case before I changed the pumps . I'm getting a P8732 reading on the diagnostic machine and need help . As if thats not enough , I now have low oil pressure coming up after a 4000km drive . Must I change all the pumps ?

I have never heard of P8732 code. But if i were to go on a whim, I would say you have an intake/vacuum leak somewhere based on the sound you hear and slow performance. A smoke test can help locate this. I would get the car properly diagnosed before replacing any more parts. If you car was running rich, fuel pumps usually wouldn't be the issue. CEL flashing on and off often signifies a misfire. Has your PCV system been serviced yet? Your car is about that age and it makes a whole world of a difference when it is an issue.

PCV is an oil trap to catch excess oil vapor. It usually sits under the intake and has a couple hoses going to/from it. The newer Models have part of this on top of the engine as well. A bad PCV can cause fuel trim issues, uneven idles, and a lot of small issues.

I also highly recommend getting the car to a volvo mechanic to have the volvo specific codes read using VIDA.
