1st 01' s60 break job (by me?)
The breaks in my 01 s60 T5 are starting to grind and squeel, time for a break job. This wouold be my first break job on ym s60. I have dont many many breaks before so it shouldnt be a problem. Just wonder if there is anyhting I should know about before doing them?
Quite straightforward.
You need a 7mm hex socket to remove the caliper locating pins.
Minimum disc thickness - Rear 10.7mm when fitting new pads.
- Front 23.8mm when fitting new pads.
- 16 inch front discs 25.8mm when fitting new pads.

You don't want to turn the rotors. Volvo doesn't recommend it. They are prone to warping if they are turned. If they are that bad I would invest in some new ones.
Really?!? well thats news to me, I have never had a pair of rotors that didnt need to be turned. That is actually fine with me, makes it easier. I was gonna ger some drilled rotors anyway.
What kinda of pads should I get? I was looking at a set of Beck Arnley organic pads

OEM pads in my opinion. yes they leave alot of dust. But I hate the way aftermarket pads feel while stopping not to mention that most also squeel as well.
