hi everyone, i bought a 01 Volvo s60 for my girlfriend knowing it needed a head gasket thinking it would be a simple project for after work wrenching on trucks all day, turns out its a bigger project then i thought. I bought a reman head for it because i couldn't see any defendant blow outs in the head gasket. I made a cam holder and got the cover bolted down and torqued, but i couldn't get the cams to move so i pulled the cover back off and got assembly lubed and lubed everything really good and still the same thing when i put it back together even only at 5ft lbs. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction with thing im stumped

 

I couldn't help noticing that it has been nearly 2 years since you posted this thread. 168 souls viewed your post and not a single answer or comment. Looks like we don't have a lot of techs or troubleshooters on this site, which is sad. I know it has been nearly 2 years and you probably have resolved your issue, by now, but if not, reply back and I will give you some input.
