Default 2.5t ECU Chip Options?

Hi Everyone,

I've looked high and low for performance chips for the S60 2.5T and the only companies that seem to make it are IPD or Viva Performance. Both are almost $1000. I've been tuning cars for 15 years, I've never paid that much for a reflash or chip. Usually they're around $200-$400!! Is there any company out there that does this for a reasonable price?

I tried the usual places including Superchips with Zero Luck.

Thanks,
Casey

Nope, there's not, unfortunately. The price for the Volvo tunes is so high because of the lack of demand and quality tuners competing against each other to drive the price down compared to other makes (ie.. Honda, Nissan, ect..). It's like that in just about all the euro cars.

I have iPd/MTE's tune in both my cars and they're solid tunes. ViVA's tune is from RICA and is really good as well and George has really good customer service. AutoTech tunes are now being sold by Elevatecars.com (again, $895). The tunes have a good reputation but Elevate (formerly Evolve), not so much.

It sucks but if you want a tune, you gotta pay up the big bucks, or possibly wait for a group buy.

Lot's of good reading about the S60's in general on Swedespeed as well.
