I had my car tunned and so they installed a new chip on the ECU. They also gave me back the stock chip so when I wanted I could replace it. So I did, I took out the performance chip and installed the stock one. I know how to remove the ECU (wait a couple of minutes with the key off, etc), but when I installed it back, the car wont turn on, even do It tries to star, it stays there, like chocking or trying to star. I checked that all the pins in the chip were correctly insterted, as well as the ECU, but that didnt help. Any idea what might be the problem ?.

 

Were you grounded to it while working on it?

Start with the basic's Fuel, spark, injector pluse and see whats missing.

 

Could it be that the ECU is dead ?, because I havent touched anything else beside the inside chip on the ECU

 

Possible see if you can find one used to drop in.

 

Mine says 8.3, do I need to get the same exact model ? or can I get one that was pulled from a Turbo same year as mine ?.

 

You need to look for a 3 digit number like 628 or 072 either one should work.
