I put a new radiator in my 2001 S60 2.4T with 201,000miles over the summer and six months later coolant leaked into the trans cooler tank and yes, you guessed it completely ruined the AW55-50n transmission.

The radiator mfg, after almost two months agreed to pay for a used transmission and labor to install since the radiator was found to be at fault.

My questions: What model years and trim level would have the Aisin Warner transmission that will work in my car?
Was the valve body on later models ever improved from 2001?
Has anyone had any experience with this?

Just to preempt any call for me to rebuild or purchase a remfg'd unit my budget with labor is $1800 and I have been quoted over $5000 for this which would exceed the value of the car.
