Used 2001 S60 180k miles NO timing belt?
I was debating going to see this used car:
2001 Volvo S60
Called the lady and she commutes 160 miles roundtrip each day.
Apparently (hard to tell with a thick accent) they kept up with oil changes and regular service but never did the timing belt.
Is this an bomb waiting to explode? Is there a way I can tell if the timing belt was done? Is there anything I can look for?
I'll certainly low-ball them just to be safe, but I know a timing belt is like $1k (probably more that 1/3 of what I will pay for the car.
Comments?

the belt if its old or in need of replacing, will look worn and have cracks in it...I will tell you this if you do buy the car you need to buy the kit from FCP Groton and change it the kit will cost you a couple of hundred dollars but save you thousands! I hope this helps
