Default 2001 s60 Brake Pads and Rotors

Im going to do front pads and rotors on my s60 with a buddy of mine. Any tips? What brand? Where should I purchase? I'm a newb when it comes to working on my car and I would greatly appreciate any help you all can give.

I have a the T5 with factory premium wheels. I believe they are 17". Again, I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you so much

When are you planing on doing the brake job?
I can send you the directions tomorrow night on how to do the job if you'd like.

Measure your rotors to find out if you have 11" or 12" Rotors (IIRC, there are 11.25" or 285mm and 11.9" or 302mm), then order the correct ones from here...

Here are the Brake pads and the 7mm Hex you'll need if you don't already have one.

Wow, that would be awesome. Is it not a good idea just to buy a complete set like the one below...?

This one comes to $350. Seems reasonable to me.

It's a good kit, and it will give you the parts to do the rear brakes when it's time.
It doesn't come with the 7mm hex attachment so you'll still need to get one if you don't already have it.

You also have a PM.

+1 on fcp Groton i just ordered their timing belt Kit. Fast shipping and great prices.
Make sure you check your rotor size.Pull off a wheel and measure one of the fronts. There is nothing worse than getting it all apart and finding out that you have 302mm(11.9inch) rotors not the 285(11.25inch) you bought. I believe that T5 has 302 but i would just make sure.I made this mistake on my 03 S60 AWD ordered 285 and when it was time to do the job they were to small. GL

I bought the OEM discs and Akebono Euro Ceramic pads from FCP. Love the ceramic pads, no dust.
