2001 S60 Suspension work
My wife drives a stock 2001 S60, and after 85k miles, the ride is pretty harsh on the front end, where you feel the road seams and bumps can be jarring.
So obviously I need some front end suspension work, but I am admittedly not a car guy, so I am wondering exactly what I should be looking for from my dealer (or euro-car repair specialist) when I want to make my S60's ride tolerable again.
Thanks for any help for this repair-ignorant Volvo owner.

Chuck,
If you are not going to work on the car yourself... Get your wallet out and take it to your local Volvo dealership and have them check it out. Hopefully you have a reputable dealership in your area and they won't take you for a ride. Check out your repair facility on line with the BBB or ask around like at the local auto parts stores. (Those guys usually know who in the are does good work).
It could be worn bushings, shocks, maybe even the springs.
How do the tires look? Are they worn out, or wearing funny? Cheep tires ride rough too.
Hard to say. (Your wife drives it... Right)
Have a professional look at it is the best advise I have for you.
Make them take you in the bay and show you what is worn or wrong.
Also ask for the parts back when you pick up the car, this usually puts them on guard to do it right.
Best of luck,
DMac
