Default 2001 S60, total low beam failure

Hello all: My wife headed out for some errands a few nights ago, came back to report that the headlights did not work. I checked, found that she was correct, although high beams DID work. I checked the lamps and the driver side fuse panel... no problems there. Could it be a relay or the stalk switch on the steeing column? Also, could not figure out which relay is for the headlamps. Anyone have a diagram or any advice here? Thanks! volvophile 1

It could be the light **** that turns the lights off and on.

Default 2001 S60, total low beam headlight failure

Hello, rspi: Thanks for the FYI. I had considered that idea, but if it was a defective light switch that caused the low beams to fail, wouldn't it also cause the high beams to fail? Also, I was checking some wiring diagrams last night, and it looks like there is a separate relay for each headlight function, i.e., one for left low beam, one for left high beam, etc., so now I'm thinking the problem would NOT be a relay. That makes sense to me, as you wouldn't want a single failed relay to cause total headlight failure while driving on a winding mountain road at 70 mph, right? Anyone else have any feedback on this one? Thanks! volvophile1
