Default 2001 Volvo S60 2.4L OBDII Code P0442 - Evaporative Emission Leak

Hello, everyone, once again.

According to my OBDII tool, Jody has a diagnostic code P0442 - a minor leak somewhere within the evaporative emission control system. I notice a faint, but somewhat brief fuel odor when I start her up, and I also notice a slight diminish in fuel economy.

I have checked the gas cap, and the area around it a few times already; no leakage, or odors around it. I have even cleared the code with the OBD tool---TWICE, but the check engine light lit up again, and OBD code returned within 24-48 hours of driving. Jody does not leak any fluids, or have any other engine faults.

The real obstacle here is I do not know where the Fuel Vapor Hose/"J-Hose", or canister is located on this particular model. It was much easier to find on our older '98 S70, and '93 850 GLT while we had them years back. This has been an issue for several months, and since I will perform an oil change very soon, I want to repair this minor issue, as well.

Does anyone know where I can find the fuel vapor hose, or have any knowledge of another possible culprit?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

(By the way, I also had a purge valve fault code P0458 around the same time, but that's been easily replaced and taken care of months ago, and that particular diagnostic code is long gone.)

You need to smoke test the evap system to see where the leak is coming from

Yeah, I heard about that method, but unfortunately, smoke/fog machines are out of my budget, and I don't smoke cigars (LOL Scotty Kilmer reference).

UPDATE: After starting her up, and lifting the bonnet/hood, I hear a somewhat loud hissing sound near the engine belt/CPU area (the passenger side of the engine bay).

Also, the fuel odor I mentioned earlier is only noticed around the front-half of the car, but is unnoticeable around the back seats, or rear-half of the car.
