Default 2002 S60 crankshaft moved while replacing cam seals

I am currently changing my cam seals. I started by rotating the engine CW to the marks and then went past 90 degrees and the back to the marks CCW. I had all of my timing marks lined up including the top cam marks and the crankshaft timing mark. I installed the cam shaft locking tool. I attempted to pull the crankshaft pulley and it started turning. It hit a stop. I stopped. I turned it back to where I thought it was but now it is 3 teeth off at 10:00. I can't get it back to the mark because it hits another stop at the 10:00 position. It will go CCW 180 degrees so I can't get back to the mark. I need that 3 teeth to get it back aligned with the crankshaft mark. Will it bounce back when I install the belt and apply tension and then remove the locking tool. How do I get it aligned before I remove the locking tool. BTW, I never got the pulley off. I removed the cover around the sprocket.
