Default 2002 S60 Hummm.....

When I unlock the vehicle and sit in the driver's seat, there is a noticeable hum coming from the center console. It continues while I drive, and still hums when the engine is turned off. Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? It must stop after I lock the vehicle because there is not any strain on the battery upon startup (just in case something electrical was running constantly).

Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

I also have this and am curious on it. It kind of sounds like a fan, right?

You know, mine too ('07). I never noticed it before, until I read this thread. No battery drain or draw at all however. And the climate control works fine.

Mine does this too, but not like your guys. I'll shut my car off go inside then about 15 minutes later I'll hear the fan come on. I just assumed it had to do with the fact I was running the air conditioning when i stopped the car and sort of a precaution from getting condensation collecting on the AC matrix and possibly causing early failure.

Yes that is what it is designed to do.
