2002 S60 shaking getting worse...............
Please give me your thoughts.
Steering wheel shakes from about 10-55mph and gets much better after 55. Taken to a dealer in Huntsville and in Memphis - neither can find anything wrong.
Tires have been checked for damage and they have been balanced - by both dealers. They tell me that all suspension parts check-out normal. I think they gave it a good shot to find the problem - no repairs equals no money for them.
Here is what I am thinking: some part has a slight bend that is not readily obvious to the eye but is obvious under stress. What could be "bad" but gets better with speed?
I am close to parking the vehicle for fear that whatever is "bad" may fall apart at 60mph and kill someone!!
Any thoughts would be appreciated as the dealers have none.

Changed front to rear today and the shaking stopped. An "out of round" rim?
Remember that the tires were balanced last week. How can I determine which rim is bad?
Thanks for all your thoughts.........

if your rim is out of round then you might very well have some other issues such as alignment, get the car aligned, buy a new rim. ask them to check all of them. you can also do it simply by jacking up the car in neutral and spinning the wheel
