2002 S60 Trunk Release Malfunction
The trunk release in my 2002 S60 suddenly stopped working from the remote or the release switch on the trunk lid - need to open with key.
Fuses are OK. Weird thing is that if you manually pop the latch to the closed position, everything works fine if the trunk is open more than a few inches - close it almost all the way and it stops working.
Only things that might relate to problem is that some not so heavy boxes were being carried in the trunk when the problem started and the rear marker lights on the driver side just burned out and needed to be replaced - both fairly normal things.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same problem, except I have a notice on my dash that the "Trunk Lid Open"
My remote won't work, and the pressure switch stopped working a long time ago. Is there some type of ballast/motion switch somewhere that will cause this malfunction?
I can unlock the trunk with the key..but nothing else will work.
