Hello all! I'm new to Volvo's and just wanted some input. I've been reading up on some of the things here on the forum, and it is a wonderful resource. I am looking at a 2004 S60 2.4 automatic with 48,000 miles on it. It's listed for $14000, but I have a trade in, and there are some paint scratches.

My question is, are there any general problems with the 2.4's? I know the S80's had transmission issues, which is why I am not purchasing that instead. Are the automatics for the S60's pretty good?

yes they are very good i own a 2004 myself i have only had a few minor problems but problems are very rare
