Default 2004 S60 - Add Foglights?

Is there a way to add the stock foglights to my S60 that never came with them? I think I see the connectors in the engine bay. How hard would this be/what would it entail?

You need the lights, the switch and it needs to be programmed at the dealer.

If you got the lights from a salvage yard you could then use a generic switch and pick up power from any ignition hot source to avoid the programming issue, but you would have to wire the whole thing yourself instead of just plugging into the harness.

Lights and the switch at the yard sounds easy enough, what exactly is it the dealer is programming?

I'm taking it the harness for the switch is right behind where the switch should go already?

The connector for the light switch assembly is the same with or without fog lights. But the light switch is actually a module (LSM). When you turn on the fog lights, it communicates via CAN to the CEM, which activates the relay to turn them on. That reminds me, you'll probably need the relay too if you go the OEM route.

Hmm, so where is this relay located that I'll need? Also, I saw mention of a separate switch for the foglights (front) near the switch for the rear ones, this is correct?

The relay is on the CEM. I don't have the diagram with me.

The LSM is the whole light switch assembly. If a car has front fog lights, the LSM has another button, next to the one for the rear fog light. I'm pretty sure you can actually just pry off the button cover and turn the fog lights on by pushing the button under it (once the lights and relay are installed and the car is programmed)

Sounds good, thanks. It'll be a while before I get to the pick and pull in PA, so if you can give me some idea of the location of this relay in the next few weeks, I'd appreciate it. I'll pull the lights, relay and a switch with the proper button/cover there?
