When I was sitting at the office at the dealership, I tried to get a C@rFax on the car (being cheap... for free). It showed 77 items. Being as well maintained as the vehicle looked, I'm assuming all is service & registration. Can I give the VIN # to a dealership and them be able to give me service history? Just curious.

It depends.

Any Volvo dealership can pull service records for all repairs completed under factory warranty.

Beyond the warranty, the records would only be available from the dealer performing the work.
