Default 2005 S60 Random Power Loss During Acceleration

I put in another fuel pump control module (used). The engine light went off, so I went and test drove it for a while. After a while I had some more sputtering during acceleration, oddly enough it was only when I was doing a right turn! I didn't take time to do any high speed acceleration, but before this it would also happen during acceleration and more often when accelerating at high speeds. The place I took it said it said the fuel pump control module was going bad so the engine was getting flooded. So I replaced that control module (the old one was all corroded and the car had a hard time starting after the old one was unplugged then plugged back in, so I think it was going bad). I also put in a new fuel pump and new fuel pressure sensor. Last year new spark plugs and fuel filter. Any ideas what could be causing the random sputtering, which they said is just the engine getting flooded for second or two. I took it to a couple places before I put in the new fuel pump control module and both said the actual fuel pressure was different from what the computer was reading (one place said 20 lbs different). Just trying to get all the info out there! Thanks in advance!!

I have been driving it around town the last couple days and haven't had any issues, but haven't tried any hard acceleration or interstate driving. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Still having this issue during right turns. Code that comes on is P0088 or P0089. The check engine light will come on and off without being reset.

Is it only on turns? My car did this to. Started very lightly but got worse quickly. I remember the traction control warning light flashed as it hesitated on the turn. It ended up being a cracked reluctor ring. Dealer said very common.

Usually on turns but I have had it when going straight. Does not happen often if I don't accelerate hard...which is hard to do sometimes when you have a turbo I cleaned the MAF and have a new fuel filter on the way.

If it is any help I had similar problems with my S60. Suggest you check that the fins on your A/C cooling system haven’t been flattened at a car wash. Mine had and it made the engine overheat, engine hesitation and engine light on.

Hope this helps
