My 2006 S60 is new to me, and I've been working on the parking brakes. Many youtube videos and my Haynes manual show an "H" bar on the side with the small spring instead of the adjuster bar that I have on my 1996 850 and that is shown in many other videos. Should I switch out the "H" bar for the adjuster I see listed in the parts for this car at FCP and IPD? Will it fit without my having to cut it short and drill it out as I've seen on some videos?

 

No, you should leave it the way it's supposed to be. The adjustment is done at the handle.
