I have a 2006 S60R that I recently purchased, I love the car and so far it has been great.I noticed a few days ago that when I unlock the door with the key fob only the driver's side door opens. I know that I have to press it again in order to open the rest of the vehicle but nothing happens when I press it the second time. Also when i then go to lock the doors they don't lock and I have to wait a bit and press the button a few times before the car locks. This happened to me in the past but then seemed to fix itself so I thought nothing of it.

Any idea as to what I could do? Can i unplug the battery to reset the system? Is there a way to reprogram the key fob? Please help.

does the problem happen more often in cold weather? THis is the issue with mine, I think it is time to replace the mechanism.

 

There is no specific temperature that this happens at. It just started working fine again.
