Default 2007 s60 hu850 help

I have a 2007 s60 with the hu850 stereo. I have not had any problems with the car until recently when the stereo seems to have lost its mind.my problems are a popping/clicking sound which happens when the stereo is on or off. The stereo will at times not play the radio or cd even though the display is on and i can hear the cd player playing. The big problem is the radio(am/fm) will come on all by itself randomly, sometimes when a cd is playing sometimes when the unit is turned off, if it is off when it does this the display stays off as if the stereo was not on, also pressing the power button or switching between am/fm/cd will not make it stop and turning the volume **** will not make it quieter. please help. I've searched the forum and have not found any problems like i am having. has anyone else had these problems? if so is it fixable or will i have to get a whole new unit?

This happened to me about a month after buying my 06 s60. The radio was turned off and it made this ear piercing popping sound a few times. I immediately called the dealer having just bought the car and explained what happened. The tech said he had never heard of it before. Anyway long story short, I was on vacation and by the time I got back it didn't do it again and hasn't since in the past 3 years.
