So bought a 2013 S60 with a bad engine (no oil) that was knocking so I got another engine almost same amount of miles 100k.. took me a couple months but finally finished it took a while for the initial start but finally got it to start and it was happy so moved it from point a to pint b to put some left over parts like the wheel wells etc..next day went to start it and it wouldn't start it only cranked it has fuel and fuel pressure just no spark is don't know what I didn't for that too happen but cant seem to figure it out. The ignition module which I assume went bad costs about $200 so wanted to ask some experts before I got on and start purchasing parts it may not need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

considering you were doing an engine swap, I'd be more inclined to think there's a wire or connector is loose, faulty ground etc before I'd suspect a module. Did you check for the signal from the crank position sensor? Check fuses/relays as well.
