Any 2011-2013 owners have any problems with their transmissions yet? When mine is well warmed up, coming to a stop and then starting out has a very hard shift into gear. Like a delay going from neutral to 1st. Pretty good jolt. When cold in the morning, smooth as silk like it was new.

Occasionally, even coming to a stop, I feel like it is stuck in a higher gear, then a very rough downshift to first.

No shift flares like my daughter's 2003 S40. At least not yet.

Any ideas?

 

Why not take it in? Should be under warranty unless you have a ton of miles already.

 

Of course I have to reproduce it for the dealer. As I said, it only does it when well warmed up. My dealer is only Mon. through Fri. so I have to take it in the AM only 13 miles away. Not enough time to get it hot enough to exhibit the problem, plus get to work by 8 AM (and they don't take appointments after 1PM because they only have one Volvo tech. They are a Mercedes dealer!)
I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem. I have 39000 mile in less than 2 years.

 

You should drive the car and take a note of about how many miles it takes to reproduce the problem. Then once you have that number take it to the dealer and tell them it happens around this many miles. Chances are they will drive it to try to duplicate it.
