Default 2015 S60 hood latch electrical connector

Hello folks,

I am in the process of replacing front end parts on a 2015 S60 T5 Premier. It was in a minor front end collision and I am replacing parts and fixing the mistakes the previous owner made. One issue I have is with an electrical connector for the passenger side hood latch. I cannot find where it should connect; the connectors on the electrical harness are not compatible. My only guess is that there is an I termediate connector between the harness on the body (in the vicinity of the passenger side latch) and the latch connector. The first picture shows the connector for the lead that goes to the latch, the other two show the connectors on the harness. I cannot find anything on the online Volvo parts stores which show vehicle parts and diagrams. If anyone can guide me as to what to look for/buy, I would greatly appreciate it.

Some plugs simply do not get plugged in anywhere. Volvo uses the same harnesses across different models.

This may not 100% be the case you are dealing with, but it is food for thought.

The issue, though, is that I get a red highlight at the hood area on the dashboard so I assume that the hood latch switch has to plug in somewhere to extinguish that highlight.

That blinking red light means your alarm is active while your car is locked. You are talking about the small red light in the center of the dash towards the windshield correct? I might be misunderstanding you.

The plug connected to the hood latch does plug in somewhere though. I believe it is right near the latch itself.
