I just test drove the 2015.5 S60 T6 Platinum Drive E FWD and loved it.

They seem to be very thin on the ground and not a lot of choice of available exterior / interior combos. Dealer has located the color combo in a 2015 model. What would I be giving up by going with a 2015 v the brand new 2015.5?

 

I'm not entirely sure but you might either have the the old turbo'd 6 cylinder engine with the 2015 and the new twin charged 4cyl drive E engine in the 2015.5

 

Ask the dealer what the difference is.
They are clearly drawing a line in the sand between the 15 and 15.5 model years. The sales people are there to answer these kind of questions for you.

 

The 15 and 15.5 have the same set up if it's a T6 Drive-E FWD 4 cylinder supercharged and turbocharged.

Well I went ahead and bought the 2015.
Apparently the only real difference between that and the 2015.5 is that the latest model has internet connectivity.
Frankly, it's a relief NOT to have internet connectivity!
I'm loving my T6 although the 19" wheels are not ideal in NJ.

 

No, actually there are a ton of differences between both models not just the internet connectivity. I have the book at work and will get back to you tomorrow

 

I just bought a 2015.5 S60 T6 today and really wanted the 19". I have the upgraded 18" wheels, maybe we can work a trade? Only trouble is I'm in florida!

 

Unfortunately, mine is a leased vehicle and I'll have to return the 19" BOR's with the vehicle. My 17" snows are much more forgiving and will probably stretch into the spring

 

On a 2015 V60, anyone know what the snowflake symbol on the dash stands for?
I've looked all through the manual and can't find anything.
On most cars, it would stand for the AC being on but I've played with the AC button and it makes no difference. The only thing I can guess is it has something to do with the outside temperature because it only seems to come on below maybe 40 degrees.

 

Thats to inform you that its cold enough that water on the road could freeze. Just lets you know of the conditions out there. Volvo has done that since the 90s if not earlier.

 

Pops up at 36* to warn of possible ice/slick conditions.

 

See page 88 of the manual. It just means it's cold outside basically.

 

You're right and you obviously have better eyes than I do. I didn't mean to hijack the original topic because I thought I had started a new topic so my apologies to the OP.
I'm still waiting for a correction from Volvo to our manual over the issue of checking the oil level in the 4 cylinder.
