Potential 1st time Volvo owner here, historically Ive received the most accurate advice from forums such as this with previous vehicles and hoping to get a bit of direction before i pull the trigger on a potential purchase.
After many deep dives and YouTube black holes I am seriously considering purchasing a 2015 V60 Cross Country D4 (there is also a polestar badge on the back though I cannot get a clear indication of what exactly that means at the moment).
Overall condition is really good, mileage 156k Km, recently serviced and full service history.
Colour is the Mocha Bronze I believe and it has the 19” rim option.
Warranty and service plan have expired but the dealership is offering a very reasonable 2 year warranty.
Everything was finalized but with a recent final visit with the family mechanic and car guy, who does know his stuff, but tends to be a little pessimistic when it comes to newer cars or cars that wont really have much value down the line with resale etc, was advised to stay away as he felt car has been in a front smash but can not say with it was anything severe or just slight bit of a bump to the bumper. Essentially there was just a slight bit of evidence of body filler or bodywork done on a tiny spot on the inside edge of the R headlight. The dealership is a reputable, well known place and based on their showroom generally seem to sell very good cars. I have not purchased a car in over 10 years as I have had a very reliable vehicle completely made up for the last few years but I am in need of something a bit more practical and family orientated.
What I am hoping to get some guidance on is whether there is anything specific I should be cautious of or any obvious red flags with regards to these vehicles? Would there be a chance that this car was severely accident damaged if its out this dealership and reasonably priced for age and model?
