Default 2015 Volvo s60 t5 awd fuel filter location? Please help

I have spent hours underneath and around my volvo and I just can NOT find the fuel filter, and I'm pretty sure mine doesnt have the kind that's in the fuel tank. Any help will be much appreciated!

Did you ever end up finding it? I’m currently looking and can’t find mine.

many models don't have an exterior fuel filter - it may be built into the pump inside the take. If you don't see the cannister then your car doesn't have a user serviceable filter.

When I searched for the part by my vin it gave me a filter and it seems to be mounted externally. I removed the plastic guard under the passenger rear door area and could not see it. I am wondering if it would be easier to find with the car on the lift. The filter that came back as a result after searching the part using my vin had both the inlet and outlet on the same side.

Also, I will call the dealer on Monday to see if they can give me any insight.

not sure about the 2015s but in prior years cars came with either a metal gas tank (California certified cars - had the internal filter) or a plastic tank. If you have a cannister, my guess is it will be ahead of the right rear wheel. You can try using a VIN decoder as well to see which plant built your car and see your serial number fits into the following:

wo/ External Fuel Filter; Torslanda Plant Built; From Chassis/ VIN 391007

Mine was manufactured in Ghent and the tank looks plastic.

I guess I will just have to get it on a lift so I can get a better look.
