400 hp 2011 S60 for racing
I'm considering a 2011 S60 for rally and closed-course asphalt racing. The S60 is priced better than either the EVO-X MR or the WRX STI, and I would be one of a few racing an S60. The modifications posted in this forum are quite tame--has anyone tried to get 400/+ hp? Larger turbo(s), larger injectors, free flowing intake and exhaust? Add the European dual-clutch tranny? Can the rest of the AWD hold up? Is this uncharted territory?
This model, as far as I can tell, has a V-6 turbocharged. Is this a new engine for Volvo?
Thanks, Mad Mat! I kept seeing conflicting info about the engine, from IL5 to V6.
No prob. It doesn't help that they're putting two completely different engines into the S60's now
T6 is AWD turbo Straight 6 that makes 300bhp/320torque.
T5 is a FWD turbo Straight 5 that makes 250bhp/266torque.
