About 6 weeks ago while driving I started seeing every warning light possible. Overheat, ABS, Brake fialure, all the gauges in the car to do not register (RPM, Spedometer, the automatic shifter also would not register which gear it was in. The car told me to pull over immediately. I had it towed and Volvo told me it was the ECM and had it replaced for a bargain $900.

Well yesterday my wife is driving and she gets an ABS, Overheat, Brake Failure, and again the gauges stop working. Another tow and the dealer is saying that although similialr to the last problem that this is now the ABS module and for a baragin $1160 Volvo can replace it. My question is if the ABS sensor is bad why would I get overheat warning and all my gauges stop working? This sounds just like the ECM to me. I feel like they are trying to rip me. Any tech out there that can give me some knowledge prior to would be a great help.
