Hello,
I am new to volvo... VOLVO S60 2.4 turbo 2001
The AC blower will always remain ON and the only way to turn it OFF is to remove the battery. This happened after having a transmission replacement. As additional information there is no r134a gas since radiators were removed. I was thinking to recharge the AC but is that a possible cause?

Ok,
nobody answered so here's my attempt![EEK!](https://volvoforums.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif)
I am assuming you're talking about the blower fan and it runs regardless if you have the A/C or heat on.
I am new to these cars as well but there must be a fuse just for that blower motor, so you should be able to remove that instead of having to disconnect the battery. But you'll still need to figure this one out anyway. To me it sounds like some kind of short in the wiring or ??? Go check around all wiring harness that you think could have been damaged during the tranny install. Also there is (i am sure) a blower motor resistor, usually either on firewall or rite on the "backside" of the blower motor exposed to the firewall. They/you could have smashed that thing in and short the wiring inside to make it run all the time. Again, I don't know these cars
and not sure if it has a constant 12V in there.
