I have a whine from thebearing in my blower motor. The car motor & car have 100k miles. Should I replace the resistor or just the blower? If you have an opinion could you explain the reason? My senseis just the blower motor unless somehow the old resistor can harm the motor.

Replace and clean out the pollen filter if your car is equipped with one, unless you have done so already. I would do just the motor if all the fan speed settings work well. Resistor controls the speeds, if working it tells the motor to work and at what speed, broke it tells it nothing.
