Default AC Recharge

Considering purchase of my first Volvo, an '01 S60. Car has great maintenance history, however I am a bit concerned about the AC system. It required 1/2 lb recharge last summer, and another 1/2 lb earlier this month. Shop says there are no leaks and it's not unusual to have to recharge a 134 system with a 1/2 lb every year.

Can anyone confirm or have the same experience?

That is a pretty close statement. I would also check the dryer connection for leaks.

Did a Volvo place look at it? If not they might not know to look under the car by the dryer.

Yes, an independent shop that specializes in Volvo.
