Hi,

Where can I buy an alarm siren aside from the dealer? Can I replace it myself, or the dealer needs to do some programming after installation? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Not neccessaroly true. I was able to buy a used one off ebay. I replaced the batteries inside so they were new. Then I had it programmed. The tech said if you plug the new one in and hold the Message Button for like five seconds while pressing the door lock button, it will configure itself. Strange but it works now.

 

Finally, I got it fixed. I bought an alarm siren from the dealer ($175), and paid $35 for a half-hour labor to install it in another shop. The alarm siren is located at the passenger front wheel well. The dealer was asking to have it fixed (parts and labor ) for $325.
